Description

ONLINE AUCTION from 12th APRIL-14th APRIL

A detached period residence set in a large plot requiring renovation, although works have begun. With some original features remaining, this imposing, elevated house offers substantial accommodation to include two reception rooms, kitchen/breakfast room area, cloakroom, spacious hallway and landing, five bedrooms, shower room area and attic. The wrap around gardens include a gated courtyard area, lawned areas, timber summer house (dilapidated), and hardstanding area (suitable for parking/garage subject to planning consents) with access via the rear lane. There could be potential to split the land and build another property (subject to planning consents).

Tonypandy is a town and community located in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, within the historic county boundaries of Glamorgan, Wales, lying in the Rhondda Fawr Valley. A former industrial coal mining town. Served by Tonypandy railway station, it is the largest shopping area in the Rhondda and is now largely pedestrianised.

The Tonypandy area contains several prehistoric sites, the main one being Mynydd y Gelli. Located to the north-west of the town, the remains of an Iron Age settlement Hen Dre'r Gelli lies on the slopes of Mynydd Y Gelli hill between Tonypandy and Gelli. Near the same location are several Bronze Age cairns. Tonypandy is also the site of one of two permanent Middle Ages fortifications found within the Rhondda Valley.

* Generally speaking Guide Prices are provided as an indication of each seller's minimum expectation, i.e. 'The Reserve'. They are not necessarily figures which a property will sell for and may change at any time prior to the auction. Virtually every property will be offered subject to a Reserve (a figure below which the Auctioneer cannot sell the property during the auction) which we expect will be set within the Guide Range or no more than 10% above a single figure Guide.
